Costume Project

The IGMT Costume Project has been producing bespoke costumes for museums and heritage organisations for over 20 years, including for our own museums.

The team does this by creating traditional costumes based on historic sources, original patterns and archive research.

They work closely with clients to meet their individual requirements and deliver an engaging, authentic and fun interpretation experience.

Featuring...

In December 2023 we tasked art students from Telford College with designing a costume, based on the fashions from 1750-1900 and taking inspiration from Telford and the surrounding area, to feature at this event.

The student who creates the winning design will work closely with our talented Costume Project team to bring their design to life before it's showcased on the catwalk in June.
