Catering & hospitality open day

With a number of available positions across our catering and hospitality operations, we're holding a Recruitment Open Day on Saturday 18 May!

Timings: 10am-4pm

Location: Glass Classroom, Coalbrookdale (what3words ///decorator.warnings.collects)

We have full time, part time and casual positions available across all catering venues, including The Furnace Kitchen, Blists Hill Victorian Town and corporate spaces such as The Glass Classroom and The Engine Shop.

We're keen to meet anyone aged 16+ who wants to work in an exciting, inclusive and historically significant environment.

Experience is advantageous but enthusiasm and personality are more important as full training will be provided.

learning officer

We are seeking a passionate Learning Officer to join our Lifelong Learning Team. The successful applicant will develop and deliver the learning programme for schools, universities, nurseries, adults and families across our ten museum sites, telling the stories of our collections to a wider audience.

Salary: £25,272
Hours: 36.5hrs pw

We are seeking passionate part-time front of house event staff to help with the running of our corporate and banqueting events. The ideal candidates will show a passion for delivering excellent customer service and high standards of food service.

You will greet and serve our customers, providing detailed information about our menu whilst providing an excellent overall visitor experience for our guests. You will need to perform well in a fast-paced environment, be a team player, and effectively communicate with others in your team.

FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT - THE FURNACE KITCHEN

Your responsibilities include greeting and serving customers at our chic cafe in beautiful Coalbrookdale, providing detailed information on our menu, and multi-tasking various front of house duties to provide an excellent overall visitor experience for our guests.

LEARNING FACILITATOR (CASUAL)

We're looking for someone to help deliver our learning programme to school groups at all Key Stages across all of the Trusts sites. The post holder will deliver workshops and activities based around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM), Design and Technology (D&T), History and digital learning.

operations & security OFFICER

In this role you will open and secure Museum sites. This includes setting and deactivating alarm systems and responding to emergency calls as necessary.

Salary: Day rate (7am-7pm) £12.07ph. Night rate (7pm-7am) £14.30ph.

events officer

You will help the Events Manager to develop, deliver, facilitate and evaluate an engaging and relevant events and visitor engagement programme across the Museums.

visitor engagement demonstrator (seasonal)

Ever visited Blists Hill Victorian Town and wished you didn't have to go home? If so, this is the perfect role for you. In this role you will interact with our visitors and tell the stories of our objects, buildings and activities through third-person interpretation and demonstrations. 

Salary: NMW/NLW
Hours: Various hours/days available. Seasonal contract to end September 2024
