Victorian Blacksmith Experience Day
Experience the life of a Victorian Blacksmith in this fantastic opportunity at Blists Hill Victorian Town.
Try your hand at the most visceral of activities; pull on some gloves, pick up a hammer and feel the heat of the furnace.
Under the watchful eye of our expert blacksmith, you will learn to prepare and light a coke fired forge before being taught the fundamentals of the blacksmiths craft. You'll be guided through the necessary steps to make your very own coat hook, fire poker and bottle opener to take home.
Once your spectacular creations are complete, take a quick trip to Mr Smitheman’s photography shop for a commemorative photograph before returning to the 21st Century.
DETAILS
The experience costs £200 per person and runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm and includes lunch, refreshments and museum admission.
The course is for a maximum of 2 people, aged 18 and over.
