Charles Peskin's Historic Diaries to be Digitised

Work has begun on the digitisation of 'The Peskin Diaries'.

Charles Peskin was a long-time resident of Coalbrookdale, an employee of the Coalbrookdale Co. and a prolific diarist. His journals offer a fascinating and important insight into life in Coalbrookdale during the industrial era.

The original handwritten diaries are now too fragile to be handled, but the digital versions will make them accessible to researchers, both locally and around the world.

The work is being undertaken by the experienced team at TownsWeb Archiving
