- Broseley Pipeworks
- Free
Join us at Broseley Pipeworks for Heritage Open Days this September!
Throughout the day we will be offering free guided tours (approximately 1 hour each) where you can explore one of the last clay tobacco pipe factories in the UK and learn how historic buildings like this one are rescued and restored.
You can also enjoy live demonstrations of traditional pipe making by pipemaker Oliver Meeson. According to the Heritage Crafts Association, Oliver is one of only half a dozen professional pipe makers in the UK and clay pipe making is in the Critically Endangered category on the Association’s Heritage Crafts Red List.
Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, involving thousands of local volunteers and organisations.
PASS PLUS holders and Friends of IGMT can park in our IGMT car park for free when attending this event by validating their PASS PLUS at the front desk when they arrive.
