On The Streets Of Blists Hill Victorian Town

End of an era

  • 22nd Feb 2026
  • Blists Hill Victorian Town
  • Ticketed event

On its final day of opening before the transfer to the National Trust, Blists Hill Victorian Town will be hosting a special ticketed event.

Some of visitors’ favourite hands-on activities, including candle dipping, brick making, lessons in the Victorian school and poster printing, will be available free of charge.

The day will culminate with a closing parade and ceremony. Visitors are invited to join staff at 3pm through the town and down to the lower site where there will be a brief address to mark the last day led by our favourite Constable Jarrett supported by the Albert William Purkiss, the Mayor of Blists Hill.

Tickets for access to Blists Hill Victorian Town on Sunday 22 February must be pre-booked on the dedicated link above. PASS PLUS, PASS and All-Site ticket holders, plus Friends, will have free access but must book their place in advance.

Please note that due to the parade, exhibits will start closing from 3pm and our other museums will close earlier than usual. Please look at our opening times page and individual site pages for more details.

We hope you will join us to mark this special day.

PASS PLUS holders and Friends of IGMT can park in our IGMT car park for free when attending this event by validating their PASS PLUS at the front desk when they arrive.
