Why your donation matters
While we receive income through paid visits, this only covers a portion of the costs required to maintain our 10 museums, 35 scheduled monuments, and deliver our education work. Your donation helps bridge this gap, enabling us to protect these unique buildings, collections and landscapes that tell the story of the Industrial Revolution.
As an independent charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters to continue vital conservation and education work and offer inspiring experiences for visitors of all ages.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a UK tax relief that allows charitable organisations to claim an additional 25% on eligible donations made by UK taxpayers. This means that for every £1 you donate, the Museum receives an extra 25p from the government, at no extra cost to you.
