Explore your creative side

Start your day at Coalport China Museum, roll up your sleeves and join a drop-in clay workshop making your own toy-themed model or sculpture.

Alternatively choose to paint one of our pre-fired clay sculptures to take home and treasure. Small charges apply.

Take a short stroll to Jackfield

After you've finished creating your clay masterpiece, why not take the 15-20 minute riverside walk to Jackfield Tile Museum. Passing the foot of the Hay Inclined Plane and crossing the Jackfield and Coalport Memorial bridge, this scenic stroll passes Maw Craft Centre on route.

Stop off at the Peacock Café on arrival for a light lunch, with plenty of space to sit inside or out.

Should you wish to drive, both museums have ample parking (free with a PASS PLUS).

Be inspired by colourful ceramics

Conclude your day with a trip around Jackfield Tile Museum. Take the Tile Trail around the museum to spot colourful patterns and animal ceramics, or hunt for Jet the Black Cat to discover more about Jackfield's stories

If time is on your side, why not book into a tile-decorating workshop, run by Craven Dunnill, and paint your own tile to take home as a memento of your creative day (pre-booking and additional charges apply).

Walk over an iconic monument

End your day with a walk across the world-famous Iron Bridge, then step inside the Tollhouse to uncover the secrets of its design and construction.

Take your time to explore Ironbridge town and its riverside paths. Why not pick up a memento of your visit from the Museum of the Gorge gift shop.
