A Gift in your will

By leaving a gift in your Will you will help us to turn the next page in our history.

Remember A Charity Week – 9-15 September 2019

#Rememberacharityweek

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is thrilled to be taking part in this year’s Remember A Charity week, from the 9 to 15 September. It is an opportunity for people to find out more about leaving a gift in their Will to charities across the UK, and how leaving a gift to our charity will help keep the story of the birth of the Industrial Revolution and modern industry alive through the iconic industrial heritage of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, bought to life through our 10 award-winning museums, special events, exhibitions and through our vast heritage collection, which encompasses engineering, art and social history.

Have you ‘Thought of the Future’? Make a gift in your Will and leave a lasting legacy to our charitable work of heritage conservation and education. Any amount that you choose to leave to us after making provisions for the care of your loved ones will really help us keep the story of the Ironbridge Gorge exciting and educational for years to come, and help to inspire the young pioneers of the future.

Through our partnership with FBC Manby Bowdler, we have teamed up with Bequeathed who offer a simple and convenient service to create your Will if you haven’t already. You can find out more about your Will through Bequeathed below.

For more information and to have a confidential talk regarding leaving a lasting legacy to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, please contact Adam Siviter (Fundraising Manager) or by calling on 01952 435 900.

It is essential that you make a Will. Without it, those you care about may not inherit in the way you expect them to.

Gifts in Wills are also important for charities such as ours. These gifts enable us to carry out work we simply could not afford to do otherwise.

Through our partnership with FBC Manby Bowdler we have teamed up with Bequeathed who offer a simple and convenient service to create your Will in a way and time that best suits you. And it’s free.

To start making your will now, just click the banner below to visit Bequeathed.

You start with an online interview. There’s guidance and chat support on hand to help you progress at your own pace. Answers you provide are used to generate your Will. You then download it and follow the instructions on how to sign it in front of witnesses.

Thousands of people make their Will for free in this way.

Bequeathed also helps you identify issues that you might not have thought about: these may be issues that could affect loved ones, where expert legal advice may be needed.

If you decide you need legal advice, simply ask Bequeathed to transfer your interview to one of their accredited firms of solicitors; they can advise you by telephone or in person once you have agreed the fee. The time you have spent answering the interview questions is time they don’t need to charge you for.

Whichever way you choose to make your Will, we hope you may consider leaving a gift to us.

The financial security of your family and friends must be your first priority and making a Will is essential to ensuring this. Once loved ones are taken care of, then a small gift to us will enable us to carry on the vital work you care so passionately about for years to come.

Every gift we receive makes a real difference. It can be designated to support an area of our work close to your heart or you can let us decide where the money would be best used.
