Masterplan For Coalbrookdale

A £15 million project to reveal how Coalbrookdale changed the world forever.

Next steps

  • Funding is in place for the creation of a new destination Café next to the Museum of Iron.

Funding is now needed for all future phases:

  • Redevelop and extend Enginuity, the National Design and Technology Centre
  • Conserve and restore some of the world’s most important historic industrial buildings in the world including Abraham Darby's Old Furnace
  • Create a new Library & Archive and Collections Centre which will provide better environmental conditions for the Trust’s extensive reserve collections and improve public access to them
  • Create a new two storey gallery to house temporary exhibitions
