Volunteers' Valuable Contribution

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust would like to express it's gratitude to the volunteers who make a valuable contribution to the Trust, this Volunteers Week.

In recent weeks, volunteers have taken on some important tasks and challenges, helping the organisation to deliver on it's core objectives; conservation and education work.

Some of the tasks recently carried out by volunteers include:

  • Identifying ceramic fragments found in the nearby town of Broseley
  • Thorough cleaning of exhibits at Broseley Pipeworks
  • Maintenance of the Coalbrookdale Arboretum
  • Costumed demonstration at Blists Hill Victorian Town
  • Research and archaeology work
