We’re kicking off a summer of fun with our ever-popular Steampunk Weekend, 9 & 10 July. Grab your goggles & top-hat for this quirkiest of weekends! Steampunk, a unique blend of sci-fi, engineering & Victoriana takes over Blists Hill Victorian Town.
On 23 & 24 July we’re welcoming back a variety of visiting steam engines, large and small, for our Steam Weekend. See engines in action around the streets of Blists Hill Victorian Town and chat to the drivers about their fantastic machines.
To celebrate the Commonwealth Games coming to the West Midlands this summer we’re holding a fun weekend of fun Victorian sports including tug-of-war and egg & spoon races at Blists Hill Victorian Town. Victorian Sports Day is 30 & 31 July.
Our furry friends take centre stage at the Dog Show, 6 - 14 August. Bring your pooch to take part in our fun daily dog show at Blists Hill Victorian Town. There are prizes for the winning entries.
We want to see everyone in their finest Victorian outfits on 20 & 21 August as we ask you to Dress Like A Victorian. Dress in your best 1900s costume and parade around the Town. See fabulous costumes, made by our talented team, in the Blists Hill Fashion Show.
A date for the diary – 3 & 4 September. The smell of smoke & oil will fill the air as steam engines of all sizes congregate at Blists Hill Victorian Town for the final Steam Weekend of 2022.
Meanwhile, across the museum sites there will be plenty for everyone to get involved in over the school summer holidays. Clay drop-in workshops, tile decorating sessions and design & make challenges will all be on offer, and many included free with The PASS and The PASS PLUS! Check out the full calendar of events here.
