The Elton Collection
The Elton Collection is the best visual source of material for industrial and technological developments in this country from the 1600s to early 1900s. Sir Arthur Elton (1906 - 1973) collected over 5,600 items, including original drawings, paintings, prints, books and pamphlets, plus memorabilia, largely relating to transportation including the early development of railways and canals.

Labouchère Collection
The Labouchère Collection comprises a wide variety of documents, letters, personal belongings, photographs, transcripts, and notes relating to the Darby family of Coalbrookdale. The Collection originated with the endeavours of Matilda Darby and Adelaide Whitmore (née Darby) to rescue and collate the early Darby family items. The two women were helped in this task by W.G.Norris, a former Coalbrookdale Company manager, who also did much to preserve company records and letters, and A.E.W.Darby.

Maw and Co. Collection
This collection covers the production period 1852 to 1969 in the working life of Maw and Co. Ltd. which was founded by George and Arthur Maw at Benthall, Broseley in Shropshire. By the late 19th Century, Maw and Co. had become one of the world's largest decorative tile manufacturers.

LTC Rolt Collection
Lionel Thomas Caswall Rolt was a practical engineer and writer, noted for his published output and regarded as one of the founders of the mid-20th century waterways and railway preservation movements. His wide knowledge extended to motor vehicles, railways, canals, industrial archaeology and the worlds of civil and mechanical engineering. This collection contains the manuscripts and working papers accumulated by LTC Rolt over a lifetime as a writer and researcher, and those of his wife, Sonia Rolt.

Patricia Bracegirdle Collection of Maps of Shropshire
The Patricia Bracegirdle Collection of Maps of Shropshire consists of 74 maps dating from the late 17th century to the late 19th century and shows the development of the county, its transport systems, and its towns during the Industrial Revolution. The Bracegirdle maps were collected and donated to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust by Dr Patricia de Haan.

The Coalbrookdale Company Orders Archive
In a project made possible through a Headley Fellowship with Art Fund, a collection containing some 730 orders undertaken by the Coalbrookdale Company ironworks in the late 19th - early 20th century has been brought to light. The collection includes orders for decorative and architectural work such as gates, railings, verandas, and fountains. The orders include original draughtsman drawings, blueprints, costings and correspondence with clients.

Lilleshall Company Collection
This collection consists of business and property documents emanating from the Lilleshall Company, spanning over 200 years. The Company's business over this period involved the mining of coal, limestone, and ironstone, as well as the manufacture of heavy clay products, heavy and light engineering, iron and steelmaking and finishing.
