Blists Hill Victorian Town

Students can travel back to the Victorian period and experience a different way of life before TVs, cars and mobiles. 

  • Watch authentic tradespeople in action, discover Victorian remedies in the Pharmacy and unusual products in all the different shops
  • See different styles of housing in the Squatter’s Cottage and the Duke of Sutherland’s Cottage and explore original industrial monuments such as the Hay Inclined Plane and Blast Furnaces
  • See  the heavy horses and other animals and use Victorian token coins to buy sweets in the Sweet Shop
