Now it’s time to change the way you view things at the awesome Enginuity – challenge the robotic arm to a reaction battle, pull a 10-ton locomotive by hand and see through things with the giant x-ray machine. Join in one of our great school holiday design & make workshops.

You can withdraw money from our free-to-use cash machine at Blists Hill Victorian Town or from the Co-op in Ironbridge town.

 

Can I bring my dog?

Assistance dogs are welcome to visit with you, other dogs are welcome at Blists Hill Victorian Town only.

 

How long will my visit last?

We suggest a visit to Enginuity will take at about 1-2 hours.

Is there anything for kids to do?

The whole place is child-focused and they’ll love it there. During the school holidays there are great family friendly drop-in workshops.

Children must be accompanied by an adult whilst visiting.

Is the Museum suitable for visitors with disabilities?

  • Enginuity has good access for all
  • The exhibition is mainly on one level, with a lift to the mezzanine gallery
  • There is an accessible toilet on site
  • Exhibits are multi-sensory
  • This is a noisy environment, with frequent loud sounds

FabLab

The new FabLab@Enginuity is a brilliant concept that allows everyone access to affordable:

  • Prototyping opportunities
  • Expert advice
  • State-of-the-art digital manufacturing technology
  • Open source software

All of which can be used by schools, colleges, companies, designers, engineers, hobbyists or anyone who has the bright spark of an idea that they want to develop into a working prototype.

Expert advice & coaching is available to hire along with the following equipment:

  • Laser cutter
  • 3D printers
  • CNC routers
  • A variety of specialised equipment

You can use FabLab:

  • For workshops designed for school groups
  • At drop in sessions during many school holidays
  • As structured training days for those looking for more in-depth knowledge
  • At 'How to do' days for adults. These must be booked in advance
  • In exclusive hire sessions

Pop-up Café

We’re busy creating a brand-new landmark café for Coalbrookdale which will open in spring 2018. In the meantime we’ve opened a pop-up café where we’re serving sandwiches, crisps and cake-slices as well as hot & cold drinks and ice-lollies.
