Our Golf Day will raise vital funds through our Fund for the Future fundraising appeal to help preserve the historic landscape at Coalbrookdale in the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. Coalbrookdale is the location of a number of scheduled monuments and listed buildings that played a major role in the birth of the Industrial Revolution, such as Abraham Darby I’s Old Blast Furnace, the Darby Houses, the Coalbrookdale Company’s long warehouse and other buildings associated with the Coalbrookdale Company. Every pound raised will be match funded from a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) to help fund ongoing heritage conservation and maintenance.
