Business Bridge Networking Event

Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust (IGMT) is excited to welcome you to attend its first Business Bridge networking event of 2022 at the Furnace Kitchen, Coalbrookdale, on the morning of Wednesday 23rd February. Networking with a difference – our Business Bridge networking event give businesses from across Shropshire and the wider West Midlands a great opportunity to network and make new connections.

Our guest speaker for the Business Bridge will be Georgina Grant, IGMT’s Senior Curator. She will give an informative and exciting talk on the heritage of our Coalbrookdale site and the buildings within our care that form the innovative story of the birth of the Industrial Revolution here at Coalbrookdale. This will include a short, guided tour of the site to include Abraham Darby I’s Old Furnace, the Museum of Iron and other buildings that were a part of the Coalbrookdale Company that helped to change the world.

Itinerary

  • 8.00am onwards - Arrival, networking and breakfast (Bacon baps, tea & coffee - vegetarian option available).
  • Introduction by Adam Siviter MCIOF (IGMT Fundraising Manager)
  • ‘Quick intro’ by each business in attendance.
  • Coalbrookdale talk and tour by Georgina Grant (IGMT Senior Curator)
  • Further networking opportunity following our guest speaker.

Ticket sales from the Business Bridge event will help to fund IGMT’s ongoing heritage conservation and education projects at our museums and across the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.

Tickets cost £7.00 per person, click below to book your place.
