YOUNG ARCHAEOLOGISTS’ CLUB MEETING

Blists Hill Victorian Town

Do you have children aged between 8 and 16? The Museum hosts a branch of the Young Archaeologists’ Club. They get to undertake a wide range of practical activities with the support of the Council for British Archaeology.

This month club members will be working on their long-term project, the interpretation of their own adopted monument within Blists Hill Victorian Town known as ‘The Boiler Settings Wall’.  Previous activities have included clearing vegetation from around the monument and taking photographs of it in preparation for their own page on the Museum website. If the weather is dry, we will record the wall and its context. If the weather is wet, we will work on the research needed for page on the project.

1pm – Meet outside Blists Hill Victorian Town
1pm until 3pm – Club Meeting
3pm – Collection from outside Blists Hill Victorian Town

The activity will be in Blists Hill Victorian Town.

There is a £4 charge for the club activities, and it is £10 a year to join the Young Archaeologists’ Club and receive the full benefits of being a member.
