Shropshire Astronomical Society

Enginuity

As part of our celebrations of the Museum of the Moon coming to Enginuity we're delighted to welcome the Shropshire Astronomical Society for a day of talks and activities.

Throughout the day there will be free astronomically-themed craft activities which the whole family can enjoy.

There will be a series of free talks too:

11am: An introduction for the astronomer. What to look for and what equipment is required at different times of the year.

12.30pm: The Solar System – Our Backyard. Talk about the Solar system using objects to represent the relative size and position of the planets in relation to the Sun.

2pm: The James Webb telescope. Talk about the James Webb telescope which will soon replace the Hubble telescope, as the most powerful and complex space telescope, observing space in more detail than ever before.

Normal museum admission charges apply and activities may vary.
