A classic Hotbuckle adaption of the Charles Dickens classic Great Expectations, told with humour and integrity. 

Charles Dickens's Great Expectations tells the story of Pip, an English orphan who rises to wealth, deserts his true friends, and becomes humbled by his own arrogance. It also introduces one of literature’s more colourful characters: Miss Havisham. 

Bring a blanket, a cushion or low backed chair. 

This performance is recommendation for families with children from age 9 upwards. 

The Furnace Kitchen will be open for Take away Hot Drinks , Cakes , Pimms & Strawberries & cream from 6.00 through to 9.00.

Parking in the MOI and Enginuity Car Parks 
We use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) at all of our Museum-owned car parks. We record the registration numbers of vehicles entering and leaving a site and calculate a charge based on the length of stay. The tariff is £1 per hour up to a maximum of £5. There is a 30 minute free period to allow pick-up & drop-off. Pay on exit or online up to 48 hours after your visit. 

Severe Weather conditions: 

The performance takes place outdoors on the Green and whilst no show can be 100% weatherproof, it is intended that the performances will go ahead come rain or shine. If, on the day the weather is inclement, the performance will move to the nearby 'Engine Shop', which is within the Museum of Iron complex and accessed through Enginuity.
