Coalport China Museum. Visitors in the Long Workshop

Festival of Imagination Slip Casting Workshop

You will arrive at Coalport at 11:30 and be greeted by our experienced demonstrator who will guide and instruct you in the morning session. You will choose your design mould and begin to create your work.

After a break for lunch, you will be met by our resident curator who will lead you on a tour of this once world famous China Works, bringing the history and objects to life. You will then rejoin your workshop leader where you will finalise the slip casting process.


Items will be biscuit and glaze fired and will be ready for collection 2 weeks after the event. Items can be posted for an additional charge of £4.95, please speak to the team on the day of the workshop. Please note, you will need to make your own arrangements for lunch.


Workshop timing - Arrival 11:30am, morning workshop for one hour. Lunch is from 12:30pm - 13:30pm. Tour begins at 13:30pm and concludes at 14:30pm when the afternoon workshop will begin. Workshop concludes at 15:30pm.
