Calm Christmas Grotto at Ironbridge

For the first time in 2024, we are hosting a special grotto at Blists Hill Victorian Town suited to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and the 'young at heart'.

We know that the grottos and lively atmosphere of our successful Victorian Christmas Weekend events can be overwhelming for some of our visitors. Therefore, on Friday 20 December we are hosting six dementia-friendly sessions dedicated to the 'young at heart', followed on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 December by six sessions each day to families with children or young people with SEND, or for sufferers of dementia.

The layout and appearance of our grottos will be adapted for your visit and Father Christmas and his Elf will be experienced in welcoming visitors with additional needs.

On dates from 11 to 19 December we are also hosting sessions dedicated to schools with a SEND provision or other similar support organisations. Find out more about our schools offer.

Dates: 20-22 December

Timings: From 10am until 4pm

Location: Blists Hill Victorian Town
