BBC One Show Rickshaw Challenge

Blists Hill Victorian Town

Tickets are now fully allocated for this event. Please do not come to the finish line at Blists Hill Victorian Town if you don't have an event ticket.

Do come out and cheer on the Rickshaw team along local roads - they'd really appreciate your support along their journey. Check out the route here.

Be part of a fantastic fundraising event for BBC Children in Need.

The Rickshaw Challenge has launched with a new route, a new rickshaw, and a new team. In a first for the annual Challenge, which is now in its eighth year, the route will start in France.

A team of six young people, all of whom have been supported by BBC Children in Need-funded projects, will be joined by The One Show’s Matt Baker on the eight day challenge. It will begin on Friday 9 November in Calais, where the team will pedal 31 miles through the service tunnel of the Channel Tunnel. The team will head north from Folkestone and make their way through England and Wales, before finally finishing in Salford on Friday 16 November, during the BBC Children in Need Appeal Show.

You can be at Blists Hill Victorian Town on the evening of Wednesday 14 November to cheer on the team as they arrive at the end of Day 6 of the challenge - live on BBC One. That day they will have cycled more than 50 miles from Malvern and will cross the day's finishing line inside the recreated Victorian Town.

Tickets to be in the audience for this event are free of charge but are limited and must be pre-booked. Click below to book now. Don't forget to add in your car parking ticket too.

Wednesday evening's edition of The One Show will broadcast the arrival of the Rickshaw team live on BBC One - but Alex Jones and the green sofa will still be in London, not be in the Victorian Town.

  • The audience will need to arrive at Blists Hill Victorian Town at 5.30pm. It's expected that you will be free to leave at around 8/8.30pm
  • During the evening BBC staff will keep you updated with what is happening and when. The audience will need to be part of a rehearsal ahead of the live show
  • As this is a live challenge, and the timing of the Rickshaw arrival is unknown, there may be lots of standing around so we suggest wearing suitable clothing and comfortable footwear
  • There will be refreshments available to buy in the Coffee Shop
  • Please note, this is a TV event and the Town will not be open as it is in the daytime. No shops, cottages or businesses will be open

We'd love you to make a poster or banner or flag to cheer on the riders and show your support - the brighter and more sparkly the better!
