CBD Archives Lecture, given by Gaye Blake Roberts, Director the Wedgwood Museum, on The Genius of Wedgwood.

This lecture will explore the many facets of the life and career of Josiah Wedgwood in the 18th century. It will examine the connections, commerce, fashion and taste of the time and the role Josiah played in a period of significant development and change. Saturday 16th June

Private Tour and Afternoon Tea at Stokesay Court, Onibury, near Craven Arms SY7 9BD.

Stokesay Court offers a unique opportunity to see a virtually untouched Late Victorian interior, which was used for the film of ‘Atonement’. Decor and artefacts from ‘Atonement’ are on display throughout the house and gardens. Meet there at 2.30pm for the House tour, which will be followed by Tea in the dining room. After tea visitors are at leisure to explore the grounds. Cost £15 per person-please book with Geraldine King.
