The Ironbridge Gorge Museums Wedding Fair
21/3/2010

The Ironbridge Gorge Museums
Wedding Fair

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum in Shropshire is getting set to host its first Wedding Fair since the relaunch of its all new Weddings at Ironbridge brochure and packages. The Fair will be held on Sunday 21 March 2010 in the Engine Shop at Enginuity, Coalbrookdale from 11am until 4pm. Entry to the Wedding Fair is free of charge.

The event will feature a range of exhibitors displaying items such as bridal wear, wedding photography, wedding cakes, floral design, handcrafted stationery, jewellery, cars, hair and make-up and even a magician and a caricaturist. In fact, everything needed to plan the perfect wedding.

The Ironbridge Gorge Museums’ own Wedding Planners will be on-hand throughout the day to discuss the numerous options available to couples planning their big day. They will also have some exclusive special offers for people booking on the day. Visitors to the Fair will have the opportunity to view some of the Museum’s fabulous wedding facilities such as function rooms, including the Board Room, and grounds which can be hired for a wedding ceremony or as a reception venue.

Fair organiser Rachel Mellett says: “The Ironbridge Gorge Museums offer a fabulous selection of unique venues reflecting the remarkable history of the World Heritage Site. During the day there will be lots of advice on hand to help create a truly classic wedding.”

Rachel added: “The Museum can cater for weddings, civil ceremonies and partnerships for up to 200 people in some of the most unusual venues in the area. We are always happy to provide a bespoke wedding planning service and offer some wonderful wedding breakfast options, from sumptuous banquets to hog-roasts or cold buffets to sausage & mash suppers.”

Any guests wishing to visit the Museums whilst they are in the Gorge can buy a Passport ticket, which allows repeat daytime admission to all ten of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums for 12 months. It costs £21.95 per adult, £17.60 for senior citizens, £14.25 for students and children and £59.95 for a family of two adults and three children aged up to 18 years in full time education. During the Wedding Fair grooms-to-be can visit Enginuity for free!
