St Bartholomew’s Day Celebrations
24/8/2010

St Bartholomew’s Day is being marked at Blists Hill Victorian Town on Tuesday 24 August. St Bartholomew’s Day was traditionally celebrated on this day at Smithfield in London between 1133 and 1855 and in other parts of the country until the 1880s when most events died out.
The celebrations will take the form of street theatre and traditional drop-in workshops.
