Ingenious Egyptians
1/8/2010 - 31/8/2010

What do sailing boats, glass, paper, honey and the 365-day calendar all have in common? They were all discovered by the ingenious Egyptians. For the month of August the Enginuity Team will be celebrating the amazing science and technology of the Egyptians in a hands-on, fun packed extravaganza.

Come and make your own pewter amulet, build a pyramid, design and test a sailing boat, learn about hieroglyphs to decode our Pharaoh trail and take part in our interactive Ingenious Egyptian show.

Shows and a range of hands-on activities will run daily between 11am and 4.00pm – breaking for lunch. There will be an additional charge for some of the activities.

In Enginuity there will also be a small display of original Egyptian artifacts on loan from Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
