Fireworks Night
7/11/2009

Blists Hill Victorian Town will open its doors on the evening of Saturday 07 November for a spectacular Family Fireworks Extravaganza. Visitors will be able to enter Blists Hill at 6pm on the evening of the fireworks event to see the streets illuminated by gaslight as they would have been in the 19th century. The town’s shops, cottages and workshops will be open for visitors to enter and talk to the ‘resident’ Victorians, dressed in the costume of the day, who will answer questions about life in the late 1800s.

Tickets are available in advance ONLY from Blists Hill Visitor Centre or the Visitor Information Centre in Ironbridge. Adult & 60 Plus - £8 each or Child (aged 3-15) - £5 each. Tickets for this event are strictly limited to 3000 and will not be available for sale on the gate.

There is parking at Blists Hill and the nearby overflow car parks. Some are about a 15 minute walk from the Town. These are available on a first come first served basis, with priority given to Blue Badge holders. Parking is £1 per car at Museum car parks. There is strictly NO parking along Legges Way or other side roads.

We suggest you use the Park and Ride operating from Darby House, Telford Town Centre (opposite the entrance to Asda). Parking at Darby House is free and there is a charge of £1 per adult and 50p per child for a return bus trip. AA Signs will also direct you to the car park.

Fireworks Night is an evening event, separate admission ticket required (Passport tickets are not valid for admission). Call 01952 884391 for details, to check availability and to buy your tickets by telephone – these tickets can then be collected from the Visitor Information Centre on the Iron Bridge on the day of the event BEFORE 5pm.
Please note, there will not be a bonfire at Fireworks Night.
