This half-term find out more about the science of flight at Enginuity. Design, build and launch a pneumatic rocket and discover the fun of flying at our fun drop-in workshops. Using craft materials such as paper, card and plastic you can create model rockets of around 30cm in length which can then be fired from Enginuity's air powered launcher through a selection of suspended targets.
Afterwards you can see a display of flight related exhibits and discover more about the engineers and inventors that helped us take to the skies such as the Wright Brothers, who flew the world's first successful aeroplane in 1903.
While you're at Enginuity you can discover how a little ingenuity will empower you to pull a 10 ton locomotive by hand, generate electricity from flowing water, build and earthquake proof tower or challenge our robotic arm to test the speed of your reactions.
There's a soft play area for smaller children and a shop packed with great science, design & technology inspired toys.
Drop-in workshops take place daily from 10.30am - 3.45pm. Activities vary from day to day and have additional charges.
