Flight Week at Enginuity

This half-term find out more about the science of flight at Enginuity.

This half-term find out more about the science of flight at Enginuity.

Design, build and launch a pneumatic rocket and discover the fun of flying at our fun drop-in workshops. Using craft materials such as paper, card and plastic you can create model rockets of around 30cm in length which can then be fired from Enginuity's air powered launcher.

Ever fancied piloting your own plane? Well now’s your chance (sort of!). This holiday take the controls of our Flight Simulator activity and see how well you take to the skies. Every day over the holidays, from 10am - 4pm, you can sit in our pilot’s seat and watch your flight happening on the big screen with your friends. This activity is included in the admission charge.

Why not make a paper aeroplane and see if you can beat the world record for the longest flight! And while you’re at Enginuity you can find out about some famous fliers and complete the fun Flight trail.

The rocket workshops will run from 10.30am-3.45pm daily and each rocket is £1 (plus admission).  Every day we’ll be having a go at our world record breaking attempt at 12pm and 3pm.

And from 20 - 24 February drop-in in to our state-of-the-art FabLab and make your very own glider. This workshop will run 10.30am-3.45pm and costs £1 plus admission.

Kids love to visit Enginuity - there’s so much hands-on discovery and fun here! Pull a 10 ton locomotive by hand, generate electricity and challenge our robotic arm to test the speed of your reactions.

There's a soft play area for smaller children and a shop packed with great science, design & technology inspired toys.

Activities vary from day to day and have additional charges.
