Using Ironbridge Gorge Museum as an example of a successful leisure and tourism venue students are able to look at all aspects of how the organisation functions as a business, its key employees and departments and how it relates to the wider tourism world.  Presentations and talks with question and answer sessions are offered on the key study areas of Marketing, Customer Service and Human Resources.  

A presentation is also available on the Impact of the Museum on the local community including; carrying capacity issues, visitor numbers, visitor management, transport, car parking and seasonal variations.
