An outreach service is available to local schools.
Historical Detectives KS2
Pupils are asked to discover a number of facts from various original sources including maps, diary excerpts, objects and photographs. They then produce and perform a short drama sketch depicting an actual event that took place in Ironbridge. The aims of the workshop are to look at how historians discover what the past was like and how source material can be biased towards a particular viewpoint.
Make your own Museum
This is a programme of 5 cross curricular sessions where pupils look at all aspects of how a Museum operates. They will use this knowledge to put together a collection of their own, display, document and market it. Their collections can be personal or themed and when put together they form a class Museum that the whole school can visit
