Ironbridge Traders Questionnaire

This is an example of a simple survey that can be used when interviewing shop owners. The survey is one of several included in this survey spreadsheet.

Instructions.

  1. Before you start your interviews, make a note of the name and location of the shop or business.
  2. Remember to be polite.
  3. It may be helpful to work with someone. One can ask the questions and the other record the answers.
  4. Results could be typed into Excel and suitable graphs produced.
  5. It may be useful to compare results with some of the answers in the Resident Questionnaire.

Activity

Design your own questionnaire based on the one below but instead of only having Yes / No responses for questions four, five and six give a statement and ask for four possible answers (strongly agree,  agree,  disagree, strongly disagree)

A statement could be “The main street in Ironbridge should be pedestrianised between 10am and 6 pm.”
