Accuracy of Content

IGTC has taken every care to ensure that goods promoted for sale on this website are of satisfactory quality and have been fairly described. Specifications on this website of the goods to be sold are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the goods. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our goods as they appear on the website however we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of colour reflects the colour of the product on delivery. Sizes are given as a guide only. Please be aware that handmade items are subject to variations in size, colour and shape owing to the unique nature of the product.  In all other respects, and to the maximum extent permissible, IGTC makes no other warranties or promises about the goods, and any implied warranties are excluded.

Availability, Prices and Import Duties

All goods are offered for sale subject to availability. IGTC regrets that occasionally it may be impossible to complete an order if stock runs out or is withdrawn for any reason, if there is a problem we will let you know as soon as we can. The price of the goods shall be the price listed on our website on the date of your order, inclusive of any VAT which may be payable by you. All prices displayed on the website are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling and must be paid in full, including delivery charges. Customers and not IGTC are responsible for any applicable customs duties or taxes in their own country.

Ordering

We will treat each order by you as an offer to purchase the goods and services subject to these terms and conditions. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order and we shall supply you, subject to availability, with the quantity and specification of goods set out in your order. We shall confirm each order by email or telephone as specified by you and such confirmation shall be our acceptance of the contract between us. You may cancel your order by notifying us in writing at the above address, by e-mailing us on trading@ironbridge.org.uk or by fax to 01952 435900 within 14 days. 

Payment

We accept payment by Debit Cards, Visa, Delta, MasterCard, Amex and Switch. Your information is encrypted and stored safely by WorldPay – we do not store your card details online. Any communication between the shopper and WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using 128 Bit SSL. Your card will be charged when your order is confirmed. After processing your payment by card, we do not retain your details therefore you will need to resubmit this information when you place any further orders on this website.

IGTC does not offer any credit facilities, so ensure you pay for your order in full at the time of ordering.

Delivery

We endeavour to keep postage and packing to minimum but exceptionally heavy items may incur additional charges, these will be identified prior to checkout completion.   

We aim to deliver items (see below for exceptions*) within the following number of working days of the order being placed:

  • UK: 5 working days
  • Europe: 7 to 14 working days
  • Rest of the world: 10 to 28 working days

At busy times, particularly before Christmas, please allow more time.

Postage & Packaging

Royal Mail is the preferred carrier for IGTC. Postage costs are for their Letter, Packet and Parcel delivery options. Where it is deemed an item needs to be recorded delivery, this is included in the postage and is identified. Please see additional Postage and Packing page.

We endeavour to keep postage and packing to minimum but exceptionally heavy or delicate items may incur additional charges, these will be identified prior to checkout completion.

Returns

IGTC wants you to be totally satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not entirely happy with your order, IGTC will refund the value of the goods supplied, provided that they are returned with a written confirmation of cancellation, the original delivery note, unused and in the original packaging within 14 days of delivery. We regret that earrings for pierced ears cannot be returned, for hygiene reasons. Returned goods should be sent via recorded delivery or by taking the item to the nearest Museum outlet. IGTC will repay you the value of the goods (excluding delivery costs) within 30 days from receipt of the returned goods.

Please note that when returning an item, the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us. We recommend that you ask your Post Office for a proof of posting (available free of charge). This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

Damaged Goods or Incorrect Deliveries

Any claim by you in respect of any shortages and/or defects in the goods must be notified to us by you within seven days of delivery date, stating the nature of the shortage/defect and quoting the delivery note number. Failure to notify us will deem you to have accepted the goods. Where you make a valid claim in respect of any shortages or defects and we are liable for the claim we will make up the shortages, replace the goods free of charge or refund the price of the goods in question. Where the goods are defective we will refund you reasonable costs incurred for postage of the goods but we shall have no further liability to you.

Limitation of Liability

The limit of our liability to you is the making up of any shortfall, replacement, refund of the price of the goods, and, in the case of defective goods, refunding the delivery costs as provided for in the terms of ‘Returns’ and ‘Damaged Goods or Incorrect Deliveries’. We are not responsible to you to any greater extent and in particular we are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss (including without limitation financial loss of profit or otherwise) which you may incur for whatever reason, as a consequence of our failure to comply with these terms and conditions. This term does not operate to exclude or limit our liability in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. IGTC is a limited company. VAT Reg. No GB 864452802.

IGTC offers excellent value and we endeavour to supply high quality products. We pride ourselves on our ability to select gifts and souvenirs representative of the artistic excellence of the Museum’s collection, reflecting the rich and varied history of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.
