Not all the women who went with the company to Stoke-on-Trent travelled there on the bus. Violet Moreton started work at Coalport as a paintress in 1898. She continued to work for the firm after its relocation to the Potteries, and was still working for them in 1951. This image shows her at work painting china in the firm’s premises at the Crescent Works in Stoke-on-Trent.
