For many years the products of John and Thomas Rose have been confused. This is not surprising when we look at these two gilded sugar boxes. The sugar box on the left is Thomas Rose and the one on the right is John Rose. There are some differences in the shape and design and the moulded animal faces (called dolphin masks) forming the mock handles have slightly different expressions!
