Closing Ceremony of the Great Exhibition of 1851

The Exhibition's last day open to the public was Saturday 11th October 1851, when 53,000 people visited. Prince Albert closed the Exhibition formally on 15th October. By this time the success of the Exhbition and Prince Albert's place in the public's affection had been assured.
