America's exhibits gave a very clear idea of where the world's future industrial might lay. Its samples of iron ore and zinc ore (one block weighing in at 16,400 pounds), Goodyear's vulcanised rubber and its displays of machine tools proved America would soon be challenging Britain's industrial supremacy. This view shows Goodyear's rubber centre stage, on top of a model of a Suspension Truss Bridge.
