One of the important roles of Ironbridge Archaeology is to share our knowledge of the rich history of the Ironbridge Gorge and our archaeological experience with others, particularly through archaeology open days, other events and the Ironbridge Archaeology Volunteer Group.

We also try to publish and disseminate our work as widely as possible, both through professional conferences and academic journals.

Ironbridge Archaeology staff represent the museum on committees and councils of a number of relevant national bodies and groupings including the Association of Industrial Archaeology (AIA) and the Historical Metallurgy Society (HMS).
