Lady Rachel Labouchere, of Dudmaston near Bridgnorth, was a direct descendant of the Abraham Darbys. As well as serving as President of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, she was a great benefactor, taking a particular interest in Rosehill and Dale House, where many Darby family heirlooms can be seen on display.

She also collected a considerable number of family papers, and papers connected with the Coalbrookdale Company, and bequeathed these to the Museum Library to form the Labouchere Collection.

A full index to the Labouchere Collection papers can be found on the Access to Archives (A2A) web page.
