Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage is based at the University of Birmingham with offices at Ironbridge Gorge, a World Heritage Site in Shropshire. The Institute’s links with the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, along with many other heritage bodies, will provide a unique academic experience and offer students access to unrivalled resources and over 25 years of heritage management expertise.

The Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage takes an international cross-disciplinary approach to the study of heritage and seeks to equip all of its students with appropriate management skills. The Institute works with an extensive global network of researchers, practitioners and policy makers engaged in the heritage and related sectors.

Our postgraduate programmes provide training for people embarking on, or developing careers in, the heritage and related sectors, in the UK and overseas.

You will benefit from our research, our networks and partnerships and our dedication and enthusiasm to better understand and manage cultural heritage around the world.
