Bonadsmålning Workshop with Katy Alston
Join us at Coalport China Museum to try your hand at Swedish-style egg tempera painting, also known as Bonadsmålning, and discover a world of pigments, folk art and stories.
Led by artist and illustrator Katy Alston, you'll mull pigment, make your own egg tempera paint, learn about the 'old painters' and create a Swedish-style folk art painting or modern version of your choice using paper, card or canvas prepared with acrylic gesso.
No experience necessary! This workshop is a perfect introduction to this traditional medium, which you can see in simple and stylised Bonadsmålning designs on Caughley porcelain.

This workshop is £75 per person, with a maximum of 10 people. All materials are provided.
This workshop is suitable for those aged 12+. Under 18s to be accompanied by an adult.
On the day, please wear suitable clothing for a creative workshop.
